Makellos Classics received this European 1978 Porsche 911SC as a solid and straight sunroof and AC delete car with 130,000 kilometers on the clock. The car was delivered new to Fellbach Germany and appeared in numerous concourse competitions in Germany before being exported to the U.S. and into our hands to be transformed into one of our Safari-inspired rally cars.

Suspension:‍

KW Clubsport coilover shocks with rally-spec valving and external reservoirs (front 3-way adjustable inverted mono tube motorsports dampeners/ rear 3 way adjustable aluminum motorsports dampeners), KW top mounts (aluminum/ camber adjustable/ spherical bearing), KW rear top mounts ( weld in steel/ non- adjustable/ spherical bearing), KW dry break fittings for front dampeners, full Tarett Engineering 935 suspension set up which includes 935 front suspension kit, with custom HD ball joints and increased angle, 935 rear spring plates, bump steer tie rod kit, rear monoball cartridge, front and rear sway bar and drop link kit (19.3 mm), 930 tie rod kit. This is the same set up that you will see on the Luftgekuhlt 1 and 2 project cars.

Fabrication:

Custom fabricated and reinforced rear strut mounts and bracing, front upper strut mount braces, custom weld-in double crossed-braced roll cage (attached to the rear strut mounts), custom fabricated front and rear brush guards with aluminum skid plates to protect engine, transmission and gas tank.

Transmission:

915 gear box with Guard 2nd- 4th shortened gears, Wavetrac limited slip differential, WEVO 915 short shift kit

Engine:

Euro 3 liter 911sc engine with billet 964 camshafts, custom TIG welded stainless steel headers and exhaust system, custom removable off-road UMP intake system (car also comes with original intake system), Elephant Racing finned oil lines, WEVO semi solid engine and transmission mounts.

Wheels & Brakes:

Fifteen52 Outlaw 003 15x7 wheels with k gravel Pirelli tires (205/ 65 15) with matching spare, Pagid orange brake pads.

‍Rothsport Racing quick release steering wheel hub, Sparco 215 two-spoke rally steering wheel (350mm), Rennline driver and passenger aluminum floor boards, mini pasha and leatherette upholstered Recaro SR3 seats, RSA door panels and rear side panels, new plush carpet kit with rear seat delete, four-point harnesses
