A Makellos Classics Exclusive Build Project

A RECREATION OF PORSCHE’S MOST ICONIC SPORT CAR!

Offered here is a tribute one of the most historically significant road cars Porsche ever built – the 911 Carrera RS. This build started as a low-mileage, numbers matching 1973 911T and fitted with steel RS flares (butt welded), steel RS Touring rear bumper, steel 911S front bumper and a fiberglass ducktail. The Brumos-style race livery really pops against the crispness of the Grand Prix White paint.

The original 2.4L motor was rebuilt to 2.7L specifications including 90mm pistons, performance cams, ported/polished intake manifolds and Weber 40IDA carburetors with custom jetting. The factory 915 transmission was bolstered with a Quaife limited-slip differential, lightweight flywheel and factory short-shifter.

The interior has been refreshed in a lightweight but not barebones fashion; utilizing RS carpet and door panels to save weight and GTS Classics bucket seats to keep you firmly in place during those spirited runs. The double-wrapped 380mm steering wheel is comfortable and responsive while the Retrosound stereo allows you to connect your smart phone for long drives or hands-free phone calls.
